The Seattle Basketball Club Code of Conduct is the organization's statement of expected behavioral standards that all participants are required to read and follow. The Code of Conduct, intended to reflect the stated purpose (see Mission Statement), clarifies the expectations that Seattle Basketball Club participants have responsibility for their actions both on and off the court and have accountability for those actions when Seattle Basketball club standards are violated.

Mission Statement

Seattle Basketball Club is an integrated and all inclusive organization dedicated to providing the Seattle area LGBTQ+ community and its friends with a well organized and friendly sporting environment. We are committed to uniting athletes, communities and cultures on and off the court while promoting health education and community service.

Threatening language and verbal threats, slurs against race, ethnicity, sexuality or gender will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Sportsmanship is defined as: fairness and respect for one's opponent, and graciousness in winning or losing. All participants are expected to conduct themselves with the highest level of sportsmanship. If the offender continues to behave in a manner that violates the Seattle Basketball Club Code of Conduct, they will be suspended from all Seattle Basketball Club activities. Time to be determined by the Board of Directors. Participants will be notified via email. A participant who is suspended is not eligible for a refund of any fees paid nor are they allowed to attend Seattle Basketball Club functions.
